Populus Eigen Tijd is a bock brewed by vandeStreek, the Utrecht craft brewery founded by brothers Sander and Ronald. This beer emerged from an experimental brewing project: a single 2000-litre base brew was divided into five distinct fruity variants, each with its own character.

The beer shows a reddish-brown hue with a creamy head. Speculaas spice and caramel dominate the aroma. The palate echoes these spiced-cake notes, underpinned by the malt-forward body typical of a traditional bock. It is a characterful beer with pronounced personality—not universally approachable, but rewarding for those who enjoy spiced and sweet grain flavours.
