Autenrieder Urtyp Dunkel is a traditional Munich Dunkel from Schlossbrauerei Autenried in Ichenhausen, Germany. This dark brown lager is brewed using time-honoured methods with intensively roasted barley malts, delivering a full-bodied beer with aromatic roasted character. In the glass, the Urtyp Dunkel displays a deep orange-brown colour topped with a persistent head. The nose brings sweet malt and fruity notes, followed by hints of nuts, caramel and chocolate. The palate is gently sweet, showcasing the roasted character of the dark malts, while the finish remains clean and balanced. This beer earned the World's Best Mild Dark Beer title at the 2018 World Beer Awards, confirming Schlossbrauerei Autenried's commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
