Cristal Alken
Cristal holds a distinguished place in Belgian brewing history. In 1928, the Cristal-Alken brewery created the first Belgian Pilsner, a milestone that would reshape the country's beer landscape. The beer emerged from the 1988 merger of two small breweries to form Alken-Maes, now Belgium's second largest brewing group.
Cristal is brewed with pure Haspengouw water and premium ingredients, delivering a clear golden pour with a balanced malt-hop profile. The flavour is crisp and hoppy with subtle malty undertones, complemented by lively carbonation. The finish offers a light, pleasant bitterness that lingers cleanly on the palate.
