Jessenhofke RSRV is a robust quadrupel at 10% ABV from Brewery Jessenhofke in Hasselt, Belgium. Originally brewed as a Christmas beer, it has become a permanent fixture in their range. The beer combines three malt varieties—pale, Munich and CaraMunich—with four hop varieties: Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles, plus unrefined cane sugar and herbs. The flavour profile centres on dark, full notes of dried fruit and caramel, with subtle chocolate and spice undertones. A creamy mouthfeel carries through to a lightly sweet finish, where the 10% alcohol provides a warming presence without harshness. The brewery recommends cellaring for at least a year to allow the beer to fully develop.
