Atrium Thunder is a Black IPA from Brasserie Atrium in Marche-en-Famenne, brewed with cocoa nibs and dry hopped with Simcoe and Cascade. This dark IPA delivers an intriguing blend of roasted malt and hop bitterness, with prominent cocoa and pine notes playing off each other. The medium body strikes a pleasing balance between sweet malt backbone and assertive hop bite. The aromas are intense and layered, with distinct cocoa, herbal hop character and piney notes. On the palate, dark malts and hop bitterness take the lead, supported by subtle chocolate and earthy undertones. The finish is dry and bitter, with a lingering hop impression.
