Fürst Wiacek has been brewing modern, hop-forward beer in Berlin since 2016. Sonnets is an IPA that showcases the craft of Georg Fürst and Lukasz Wiacek—two homebrewers who met at a climbing gym and never looked back. This IPA excels through its fruity, tropical character. The nose brings grapefruit and citrus, supported by pineapple and fruity notes. On the palate, a sweet-malty base balances fresh, peppery bitterness, with grapefruit and tropical fruit in the foreground. The finish is lightly bitter and dry. At 6.8% ABV and a golden, hazy appearance, this is an approachable yet characterful IPA that brings modern German hop craft to the glass.
