Petrus BDX is a Flanders Red Ale from Brouwerij De Brabandere in Bavikhove, Belgium. This smooth, velvety sour ale matures for two years in oak barrels, then is blended with fresh young brown ale to achieve balance. The result is a refined, complex beer with subtle fruit notes and a dry finish. The nose reveals oak and vinous character, while the palate shows gentle acidity and fruity undertones. The mouthfeel is light to medium with an oily, slick texture and moderate carbonation. The finish is dry yet leaves a pleasant coating on the palate.
