Hop Shot is BrewDog's extreme hop manifesto: a West Coast IPA at full throttle, bottled at 20% ABV in a compact 110 ml format. With over 200 IBUs, this is no subtle proposition. The brewery combines Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo for a frontal assault of American hop character—grapefruit peel, sticky citrus and resinous intensity.

On the palate, it's equally uncompromising: thick, syrupy and sweet from malt toffee and honey, yet overwhelmed by citrus bitterness and hop oils. Peach, pineapple and kiwi emerge between the hop onslaught. This is an experience for committed hop devotees who embrace extreme bitterness, not an aperitif.
