Loch Lomond Brewery
United Kingdom · Founded in 2011
Loch Lomond Brewery was founded in 2011 by Euan and Fiona MacEachern and has grown into one of Scotland's most respected independent breweries. Based in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire — on the doorstep of the iconic Loch Lomond — the brewery draws on the natural beauty and rich brewing heritage of the Scottish Highlands to craft its beers. From modest beginnings, the MacEacherns built a brewery with serious ambitions, earning a strong reputation across Scotland and beyond. The brewery offers a diverse portfolio spanning a range of styles, from fresh and fruity sessionable beers to full-bodied and impressive heavyweights. Among their known releases are beers such as Lost (featured in tasting line-ups alongside four other expressions of the range) and a well-regarded American IPA clocking in at 5.9% ABV. Loch Lomond's beers are distributed both on tap and in bottle, reaching craft beer bars across the Netherlands and other European markets. In 2025, Loch Lomond made history at the Indie Beer Scotland Awards by becoming the first brewery ever to claim both the Overall Champion Cask titles simultaneously — a landmark achievement for any independent Scottish brewery. The brewery has also pursued crowdfunding investment rounds to fuel further expansion, reflecting its continued ambition and growing footprint in the UK independent beer scene.
