Baros Bier

Baros Bier is a craft brewery from Sprang-Capelle, a small town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The brewery was founded by friends Ton Baeten and Peter Rosman, who started out as home brewers before scaling up their passion to a professional level. What began as a hobby grew into an active brewing operation, with the brewery gaining wider recognition from around 2016 onwards. Since 2018, Baeten and Rosman have been brewing on a more structured basis, putting Sprang-Capelle firmly on the Dutch craft beer map. Baros Bier focuses on artisanal brewing with a clear ambition to enrich the Dutch beer landscape. The brewery's portfolio includes a range of craft beer styles, and they are particularly known for their adventurous Barrel Series — specialty beers that are aged or finished in barrels from other traditions. Among these is the Baros Barrel Serie 5, featuring the Zinnestreel, a Belgian Quadrupel that showcases the brewery's love for complex, malt-forward fermentation and bold flavours. The brewery is an active participant in the Dutch craft beer community, appearing at beer festivals across the Netherlands and collaborating with fellow brewers. One notable collaboration was brewed together with the European Beer Star, resulting in a beer released in three different versions — a testament to Baros Bier's creative and collaborative spirit.
