Dubbel Eik
Wispe Dubbel Eik is a characterful Belgian dubbel from the Dutch craft brewery Wispe, located in Weesp, North Holland. This strong, dark ale is matured on oak chips, adding subtle wood notes to its profile. The beer showcases dark malts and caramel character, rounded out by the distinctive signature of abbey yeast.
Wispe was founded in 2009 by three brothers—Jerrit, Jitze and Remko Vellenga—who revived Weesp's brewing heritage after a century of silence. The town's tradition dates back to the 14th century, when its clean water made it an ideal brewing centre. Dubbel Eik reflects their philosophy: classic Belgian styles brewed with a distinctly Wispe character.
