Putty is the signature Double New England IPA from Verdant Brewing Co, an independent brewery based in Penryn, Cornwall. Created in 2017 for the Hop City festival, this 8% DIPA has become a cult classic. The beer combines Golden Promise, wheat malt, oats and flaked wheat into a fluffy, hazy foundation loaded with Galaxy, Mosaic and Azacca hops in the whirlpool.

The aroma bursts with ripe mango, passionfruit and peach, backed by subtle resinous pine. On the palate, it delivers juicy tropical fruit with a gentle bitterness that never dominates. The pillowy-soft, almost chewable mouthfeel is the beer's signature—a creamy texture that carries the intense hop character without harshness.
