Poltergeist is Van Moll's ambitious barrel-aged counterpart to their Opgebokt, a Doppelbock brewed specifically for maturation in wood. This Imperial Doppelbock rests in Jamaican Plantation Single Cask rum barrels, gaining a silky smooth character with subtle notes of caramel, vanilla, pineapple, melon and honey.

Dark brown in colour and warming at 10% ABV, Poltergeist carries real weight and presence. The sweet malt foundation meets the influence of rum-soaked oak in a careful balance, creating depth without harshness.

A contemplative beer, best enjoyed slowly, where its warmth and layered character reveal themselves over time.
