Kasteel Trignac XII represents an ambitious take on the classic Kasteel Tripel, matured in carefully selected cognac casks for at least six weeks. Van Honsebrouck, the Belgian brewery based in Emelgem, crafts a beer that marries the fruit-forward character of a tripel with the warm, layered complexity of barrel aging.

The pour reveals a golden, bright beer topped with a white head. The nose is inviting: grape, sweet apple, and clear wood notes from the casks. On the palate, a full-bodied, well-rounded flavour emerges where vanilla and cognac warmth blend seamlessly with the underlying tripel character. The 12% ABV is present but balanced.
