Kerel Rye High
VBDCK's Kerel Rye High is a dark brown quadrupel at 9.5% ABV, brewed with generous quantities of rye malt and candy sugar. This winter beer delivers a full, complex flavour profile rooted in malty sweetness. The Verbeeck-Back brewery, operating since the late 19th century in Tielrode, has built its reputation on independent brewing free from monastic traditions or corporate influence.
The aroma opens with malt and gentle caramel notes. On the palate, the beer is full-bodied yet refreshingly crisp, with pronounced liquorice-like tones emerging in the finish and lingering into the aftertaste. A straightforward beer with genuine character.
