Kerel Saison
Kerel Saison from VBDCK is a Belgian farmhouse ale with deep roots. The brewery, founded in the late 19th century by Jules Verbeeck and Laura Back, became renowned for this authentic Kerel beer. After nearly a century of brewing, the brewery closed in 1966, but the beer has returned as a living link to independent Belgian brewing tradition.
This light, fruity saison is traditionally brewed during winter and savoured through spring and summer. At 5.5% ABV, it refreshes with citrus fruitiness that shines in both the initial taste and finish. Sweet malt and earthy yeast undertones provide depth, leading to a clean, dry conclusion with soft carbonation and a brisk, medium-bodied feel.
