Oude Geuze
Timmermans Oude Geuze is brewed in Itterbeek by the world's oldest active lambic brewery, established in 1702. This is a classic gueuze made according to tradition with malted barley and unmalted wheat, fermented by wild yeasts that trigger spontaneous fermentation.
On the nose, typical gueuze character emerges: earthy, almost mossy notes with yeasty and fresh woody tones. The palate reveals a pleasant tartness without excessive harshness, with apple and citrus fruit notes leading to a dry finish. The body feels smooth despite the initial sharpness.
A complex, well-balanced gueuze that honours the craft tradition of spontaneous fermentation.
