Kriek

Timmermans Kriek is a traditional fruit lambic from Belgium's oldest lambic brewery. Originally founded as De Mol in 1702 and based in Iterbeck near Brussels, Timmermans has been brewing this spontaneously fermented beer using time-honoured methods for over three centuries.

This kriek balances sweetness with subtle tartness, its nose dominated by cherry aromas with distinct marzipan notes. The palate reveals fresh cherry character tempered by lactic complexity typical of wild-fermented lambics. At just 4% ABV, it drinks accessibly and refreshingly on warm afternoons.

The amber-coloured beer presents a full, creamy head and pleasant body. Aged hops contribute subtle character without harsh bitterness, while the spontaneous fermentation introduces the funky, slightly funky character that defines authentic lambic beers.
