Thornbridge Kipling
Thornbridge Kipling is a South Pacific Pale Ale from the acclaimed Derbyshire brewery Thornbridge. Brewed as a SMASH beer using only Maris Otter malt and Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand, Kipling was the first British beer to showcase this distinctive hop variety. The result is a golden ale with a clean, medium body.
Nelson Sauvin defines the character here, delivering bold tropical and citrus notes. The aroma presents grapefruit, blood orange and grassy undertones. On the palate, a smooth, honey-tinged malt foundation meets a persistent, dry bitterness. Grapefruit dominates the finish with a crisp, refreshing edge that lingers pleasantly.
At 5.2% ABV, Kipling strikes an approachable balance between flavour intensity and drinkability – an easy pour for any occasion.
