Sisters Black
Sisters Black is an Imperial Milk Stout from The Sisters Brewery in Breukelen, brewed by sisters Annamijn and Josefien Beijeman alongside their father Wilfran. This beer is a double mash of their Pchela, aged six months in oak barrels previously used for ten years of Rutte Oude Jenever maturation. The result is a deep black, complex stout with a silky smooth mouthfeel.
The aroma reveals spice, speculaas and roasted grain. On the palate, roasty notes, spice, dates and chocolate converge in harmony. The jenever-oak aging adds subtle warmth and depth without overwhelming the creamy character of the milk stout.
Artfully crafted beer that pairs with dates wrapped in bacon and drizzled with honey, or stands alone for contemplation.
