Scelling Gagel Goud
Scelling Gagel Goud is a welcoming blonde ale from Terschellinger Bieren, brewed on the Frisian island of Terschelling. The beer stands out for its use of wild gagel, a plant harvested locally on the island. In medieval times, gagel was a key ingredient in gruitbier, before hops became the standard bittering agent.
The beer is straw-yellow and clear, with a stable head. The aroma is spicy and fresh, with distinctive gagel character. On the palate, crisp and herbal notes develop alongside gentle bitterness, with hints of vanilla, orange peel and clove. A summer beer with balanced body and clean finish.
