The beer is made with premium ingredients from Ethiopian soil—barley, malt and hops—and water drawn from the brewery's own deep wells. This is beer made by and for Ethiopians, an initiative founded by local investors in 2009 and now majority-owned by Swinkels Family Brewers, one of Europe's largest independent family breweries.
