Surinaams Parbobier
Parbo Bier is Suriname's national beer, brewed by Surinaamse Brouwerij since 1955. This pilsner emerged from a partnership with Amstel and was officially inaugurated by Prince Bernhard. The beer combines light malt with specially cultivated rice, creating its distinctive character.
Parbo presents as a light and refreshing pilsner in the glass. The palate reveals a soft, bready malt base with subtle notes of banana and pear. The finish is dry and clean, without aggressive hop bitterness. This is an approachable, thirst-quenching pilsner well-suited to Suriname's tropical climate.
