Übersee-Pils
Übersee-Pils is a North German organic pilsner brewed by Störtebeker Braumanufaktur in Stralsund, continuing a brewing tradition at this site since the 19th century. The brewery itself was established in 1899 and later renamed in 2011 as a tribute to the legendary pirate Klaus Störtebeker.
This bottom-fermented lager opens with bready and grainy malt character, complemented by floral and gently fruity hop notes. The palate shows a firm bitterness backbone balanced against the malt foundation, finishing dry yet not austere, with some residual sweetness. At 5.2% ABV and 45 IBU, it represents a refined take on the German pilsner style, where ingredient quality and brewing precision define the character.
A crisp, clean alternative to mass-market pilsners, brewed to the standards of contemporary craft practice.
