Stanneman Extra Dubbel is a dark, robust beer from Herselt that blurs the line between dubbel and stout. At 9% ABV, it delivers more than a classic dubbel: a very dark colour, a full creamy foam head and a substantial texture reminiscent of stout.

In the glass, coffee and dark chocolate notes unfold, supported by subtle raisin-like sweetness. The opening is sweet and creamy on the palate. The finish brings forward coffee and chocolate with a dry, pleasant aftertaste.

This beer was born from brewer Erwin Vermeulen's passion for brewing. After studying zythology and experimenting in his garage, he created this recipe. It is a beer for those seeking something darker and stronger than a standard dubbel.
