Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim's Armada is a Russian Imperial Stout at 11% ABV, aged in Mortlach whisky casks. This dark, full-bodied stout from Rotterdam marries the strength of its base recipe with the complexity imparted by Scottish oak.

Pour reveals a jet-black colour with a full, substantial body. The beer opens with pleasant sweetness and dark fruit character, then transitions to a roasty, bitter finish marked by dark chocolate notes. The cask aging adds depth and warming alcohol presence to this intense, challenging beer.

Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim has been brewing for 30 years using pure Rotterdam water, housed in one of the city's oldest buildings.
