Dikke Jan Tripel
Dikke Jan Tripel is a traditionally brewed Belgian beer from Waregem, crafted since 2015 by Brouwerij Dikke Jan. Born from a friendship between an innkeeper, a character named Jan, and a passionate brewer, it draws on a historical recipe dating to 1495. At 7% ABV, this golden blonde tripel presents a creamy white head and distinctive character.
The palate is dry with fruity and spicy notes, supported by subtle caramel malt undertones. The nose reveals classic tripel finesse alongside fresh, hoppy character. The finish is notably bitter, with lingering spice and herbal hop notes that define its aftertaste.
Crafted from pure barley malt, roasted malt, wheat malt and corn flakes, hopped with Belgian and American varieties through five brewing stages.
