Delfts Gruyt
Delfts Gruyt is a wheat beer brewed by Bierhistorie Delft, drawing on a recipe from the 14th century. In medieval Delft, when the city boasted around 200 breweries, gruit—a blend of herbs and spices—was the brewer's tool for flavouring beer before hops became standard. This golden ale honours that tradition with its own spiced character.
The aroma reveals yeasty and earthy notes with green apple undertones. The palate balances dry malts and mild spices with distinctive yeast character. The finish is dry and herbal, leaving a pleasant dryness that refreshes and invites another sip.
