Sori Brewing in Tallinn crafted Pareto 2017 as an ambitious barrel-aged expression: a Scotch Ale matured for twelve months in port wine casks. At 11.5% ABV, this strong beer draws its distinctive character from the barrels' previous life, revealing notes of red grapes, caramel and oak.

The nose opens with caramel and red grape. On the palate, those wine-barrel influences come through clearly, paired with oak and a subtle tartness that cuts the sweetness. A complex beer that marries the full body of a traditional Scotch Ale with the refinement of port barrel maturation.
