Tripel
Affligem Tripel is a full-bodied golden Belgian ale at 9% ABV, brewed according to centuries-old tradition. The brewery itself dates to 1074, when a group of knights turned to monastic life and established what is now one of the world's oldest beer brands.
The nose reveals a bright blend of ripe fruit, spice, and subtle grassy undertones. On the palate, fruity notes of apple and banana emerge alongside warming pepper and hints of coriander, balanced by a clean, dry finish with a refined bitterness that lingers without overwhelming.
This is a beer worthy of respect: complex enough to reward attention, yet approachable enough to return to regularly.
