Sofia Electric Brewing, founded by Bulgarian beer enthusiast Simeon Parvanov, crafts Cold Lies as their debut Cold IPA at 6.1% ABV. The beer is brewed with a minimal grain bill of pilsner malt and flaked rice, fermented warm with a clean lager strain to keep yeast character subtle. The focus is entirely on hops: dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe to deliver a crisp, hoppy and bitter finish.

The result is an easy-drinking yet assertive beer that showcases the Cold IPA style—marrying lager fermentation's clarity with the hop-forward intensity of an ale.
