Schweden Pils
Schwarzbräu Schweden Pils is a German Pilsner from Zusmarshausen, brewed according to traditional recipes and the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. The name commemorates a historic moment: legend has it that exhausted Swedish soldiers stormed the 'Zum Grünen Baum' brewery on the market square after a battle and drank every barrel dry.
This is a malty Pilsner with soft hop bitterness. The nose reveals sweet malt character with a hint of spice. The palate opens with bready malt tones followed by mild hop bitterness, finishing clean and quick. A drinkable, approachable Pilsner that pairs well at the table.
