Schultenbräu Premium Pilsener is Aldi's house beer, brewed in the German pilsner style since 1988 using a traditional recipe. This bottom-fermented lager presents a clear golden colour with a white head.

The nose shows malty and floral notes. On the palate, sweet malt character is followed by a subtle hop bitterness. The beer offers straightforward refreshment with minimal aromatic complexity.

In blind tastings of Dutch supermarket pilsners, Schultenbräu performed surprisingly well, scoring 8/10 as the best house-brand option. A reliable, unpretentious pilsner for everyday drinking.
