Rogue Mocha Porter
Rogue Mocha Porter is an American porter from Newport, Oregon, that won gold at the 1995 World Beer Championships. This robust brew combines two-row and Munich malts with American hops—Chinook, Perle and Centennial—to create a naturally mocha-like character without added coffee or chocolate.
The beer pours a ruddy brown with a bittersweet balance of malt and hop. The aroma leads with roasted malt, coffee bean and dark chocolate notes. On the palate, brown sugar and espresso emerge, followed by a soft, creamy finish with a dry edge. At 5.1% ABV, it's an approachable porter with medium body and a gentle, well-rounded mouthfeel.
