Ritual Lab is an Italian craft brewery near Rome dedicated to research and innovation. Self Examination is a powerful barleywine at 12.5% alcohol, matured for 18 months in bourbon or rum casks.

The bourbon-aged version delivers rich toffee, dried fruit and a soft bourbon warmth. The rum cask expression develops into a complex, balanced beer with a distinctive amber-red colour. Both are unfiltered and unpasteurised, made without additives.
