Ritual Lab from Formello, Italy, presents Papanero, a full-bodied Imperial Stout at 12.5% ABV matured in bourbon barrels. Deep black in colour with minimal foam, this beer shows the restraint of patient barrel aging.

The nose reveals bourbon and chocolate with hints of vanilla. On the palate, bourbon leads, blended with vanilla, coconut and caramel that integrate smoothly with the malty base. Hop bitterness remains subtle and well-balanced.

The finish extends long, introducing coffee and chocolate notes. Despite its strength, Papanero drinks smoothly—the alcohol warms rather than dominates, making this a refined and accessible barrel-aged stout.
