Rigtersbier, based in Haaksbergen, matured this winter ale in Bowmore whisky casks, creating a deeper, barrel-aged expression of their WNTR beer. The original winter ale was brewed to higher strength and aged in these Islay casks, which impart their characteristic smoky and vanilla-touched character.

The result shows milk chocolate and subtle acidity layered with full-bodied winter malt character. At 11% ABV, the beer carries warmth and richness, while the Bowmore casks add a smoky, woody dimension. A full-bodied, complex winter beer for those who appreciate deep fermented flavours and barrel influence.
