Ramses Huismoeder is a Smoked Brown Ale from Ramses Bier, located in Hooge Zwaluwe and a pioneering voice in Dutch craft beer since the 1990s. This distinctive beer gains its unique character from the addition of Lapsang Souchong Butterfly tea during bottling – a Chinese tea known for its pronounced smoke and fire notes.

The combination of smoked malt and tea creates a complex aromatic profile with deep smoke, roasted malt tones and subtle bitterness. The beer pours dark brown to black with a full, creamy head. On the palate, malty warmth balances with the characteristic smoke and fire flavours of the tea, finishing with a pleasant dry aftertaste.
