Ayinger Urweisse
Ayinger Urweisse is a dark wheat beer crafted by Privatbrauerei Ayinger in the Bavarian village of Aying, where the Inselkammer family has brewed since 1878. This unfiltered beer blends barley and wheat malts into a liquid piece of brewing heritage.
The nose reveals ripe banana and clove, supported by gently sweet malt with bready, yeasty character and hints of vanilla. The palate brings light caramel, dark malts and stone fruit, with low bitterness and a clean, dry finish.
At 5.8% ABV, this beer feels lighter than a full-bodied dunkelweizen, yet packed with flavour. The naturally cloudy appearance and creamy, lasting head are hallmarks of this classic Bavarian style.
