La Trappe

Witte Trappist

La Trappe Witte Trappist is the world's first Trappist white ale, brewed by Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven in the Netherlands. Named after the French abbey Notre-Dame de la Grande Trappe in Normandy, this beer honours the legacy of Brother Isidorus, who first brewed under the abbey's tradition at Koningshoeven.

Brewed with only natural ingredients—water from the monastery's own spring, pale malted wheat and barley, hops and yeast—La Trappe Witte Trappist delivers a smooth, malty character with subtle acidity and a refreshing, tingling finish from carbonation. Unlike many witbiers, it eschews added spices and citrus peel, allowing the wheat malt and fermentation character to speak clearly.

At 5.5% ABV, this is a consistently drinkable thirst-quencher rooted in Trappist craftsmanship and contemplative brewing tradition.
