Batten Down the Hatches BA is an Imperial Stout from Nøgne Ø, the Norwegian brewery founded in 2002 in Grimstad. Carefully selected and tasted to achieve a full-bodied, harmonious character, this stout matures in Cognac and Aquavit barrels that complement its deep roasted foundation with warm, spiritous depth.

The nose reveals dark chocolate, cocoa and molasses with subtle fruity undertones. On the palate, the full malt body and barrel maturation converge into a complex interplay of toffee, dark fruit and gentle alcohol warmth. The finish is dry and lingering, with a balanced bitterness that frames the beer's richness.
