Nøgne Ø Two Captains is a Norwegian Imperial IPA with a distinctive origin story. The recipe was developed in 2010 by Jan Halvor Fjeld, an airline captain and home brewer who won the Norwegian home brewing championships that year. Nøgne Ø brought his winning formula to commercial production.

This is an assertive, hop-forward beer at 8.5% ABV with 100 IBU of bitterness. The golden hue is accompanied by a fruity nose of tropical notes, pine and caramel. On the palate, pineapple and grapefruit take centre stage, balanced by light caramel malt. The grapefruit bitterness carries through to a dry finish.
