Nevel Purper
Nevel Purper is a wild-fermented ale from Nevel Wild Ales in Nijmegen, a brewery dedicated entirely to spontaneous fermentation using local heritage ingredients. This oak-aged beer weaves together buckwheat, lavender and aronia berries into a layered, nostalgic yet contemporary expression.
The palate is dry and mildly bitter with a light malt foundation. Lavender threads subtly through the beer, while aronia and buckwheat bring apple pie–like aromatic complexity. After three months of oak maturation, it develops a silky, tart finish with lingering sharpness and mineral depth.
