Nevel Aurum is a tart artisanal ale from Nevel Artisan Ales in Nijmegen, crafted with local ingredients and traditional wild fermentation methods. At 6.1% ABV, this sour ale represents an ambitious project: a single 2000-litre base batch yielded five distinct fruity variants, each with its own identity.

The nose presents citrus and subtle fruit notes. On the palate, acidity mingles with malty depth and earthy spice, building to a dry, refreshing finish with gentle bitterness. The beer balances restraint across all flavours rather than emphasising any single dimension.
