Kellerbier
Mönchshof Kellerbier is an unfiltered amber lager from Kulmbach, brewed by Kulmbacher Brauerei. This traditional Franconian Kellerbier reflects centuries of brewing heritage in a mild, balanced beer distinguished by its natural cloudiness and full flavour.
In the glass, it displays a dark golden hue with a sturdy, lasting head. The nose offers grain and malt aromas with subtle hints of caramel and toasted malt. The palate is complex yet approachable: bready malt, moderate hop bitterness, and delicate fruity notes create a pleasant equilibrium.
This is a flavourful alternative to pilsner, with characterful malt depth and light spice. At 5.4% alcohol, it is a versatile beer suited to various occasions and pairs well with roasted meats and sausages.
