Vatgerijpt #5 marks Muifelbrouwerij's first barrel-aged expression of Beerskey, a peated beer with considerable depth. Aged 13 months in Calvados casks, it merges smoky malt character with the fruity, wine-like qualities of French apple brandy.

The beer presents as murky brown with a thin beige head. The aroma reveals smoked malt, dark dried fruit and sweet rum notes. On the palate, dark malt, toffee and chocolate fudge blend with dried fruit, apple and subtle oak from the cask maturation.

This is an intense, challenging beer for those who embrace smoky, complex flavours.
