Het Varel from Mommeriete is a fruity India Pale Ale brewed in Gramsbergen by the Kelder family since 2004. This IPA is known for its pronounced fruit character, with distinct notes of passionfruit, citrus and yellow fruit. The nose displays pine and floral qualities.

The palate is softly sweet with fine bitterness that balances well with the fruit flavours. The beer pairs excellently with spiced dishes such as well-seasoned chicken or Mexican cuisine. At 6.5% alcohol and best served at 6°C, the distinctive flavour profile comes into its own.
