De Nachtwacht is a smoked porter from Mommeriete, a family brewery in Gramsbergen established in 2004. Despite its modest 5.7% ABV, this porter delivers surprising body and depth. The smoking process defines the character, bringing roasted malt and coffee notes to the forefront.

The palate opens with sweetness, developing into coffee and malt flavours with a gentle caramel undertone. The finish is pleasantly mild with a light bitterness. Best served at 7°C, this beer pairs well with robust cheeses such as blue cheese.
