De Boei Old Style Porter
De Boei Old Style Porter is a Dutch craft beer brewed to a recipe dating back to 1805. At 5% ABV, it is a drinkable porter that belies its dark appearance with a light touch and accessible character.
The flavour profile combines coffee, liquorice and chocolate, tempered by assertive hop bitterness that dries the finish. Roasted barley malt (72 EBC) provides depth and colour. With 41 IBU, the beer strikes a genuine balance between sweet malt character and hoppy bite.
Brewery de Boei produces this beer weekly in small 450-litre batches at their estate in Noord-Holland, where tradition and craft brewing remain central to their approach.
