Night by the Lake is an ambitious collaboration between Norwegian Lervig and Estonian Põhjala. This 13.3% Imperial Stout is aged in rum, bourbon and maple syrup barrels, yielding a complex and layered beer steeped in dark character.

The beer pours pitch black with a tan head and offers aromas of molasses, dark malt, oak, vanilla and dark rum. On the palate, toffee and roasted notes emerge alongside woody undertones, all supported by the beer's considerable alcohol warmth. The finish is dry and lingering.

Best enjoyed outdoors with friends, as the brewers suggest.
